"The UC San Diego and Chico State men's basketball teams defeated Cal Baptist and Hawaii Pacific, respectively, to advance to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen and guarantee that one of the CCAA's top squads will take home the 2017 West Region Championship trophy.
The Wildcats are playing for their second West Region title in four years, while the Tritons earn a spot in the regional title game for the second-straight season. The two squads will matchup Monday night at 7 p.m. with the winner advancing to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Chico State and UC San Diego each won at home in their regular-season series, but the Tritons eliminated the Wildcats in the semifinals of the CCAA Championship Tournament."
