Mid-Peninsula boys basketball coach Curtis Haggins has been busy marketing a myriad of local players at showcase tournaments this summer. Haggins coaches the 17-and under Roadrunners, who have gone 3-0 in the prestigious West Coast Challenge at the Hanger Athletic Exchange in Hawthorne. The Roadrunners played Compton Thursday night. HAX, as it is known, is where many NBA players work out during the summer.
"James Harden and Russell Westbrook were watching our game the other day," said Haggins, a Woodside alum of '96.
Davante Adams, who will be a senior at Paly, has been drawing raves, Haggins said. Schools such as Santa Clara, Portland State, Weber State and Loyola Marymount have shown serious interest...
