* College of the Redwoods 81 - Umpqua College 75

Frosh guard Johnny (Fairfield High) Shelton Jr. exploded for 30 points (15-16 from the foul line) and 6-foot-6 frontcourter Jon (Ferndale High) Losa posted a 22/15 double-double.

6-foot-6 Shaun (Monterey Hall) Hall earned an all-tournament nod at the San Jose City College Classic.

6-foot-3 sophomore Nicolus Guzman again led SJDC in scoring with 23 points plus seven boards.

Freshman forward Semir (Del Campo High) Catarevic led the Hawks with a 16 point/10 rebound double-double while frontcourter TJ (Tracy High) Williams added his own 15/12 double-double.

* Cabrillo College 58 - Las Positas College 41

A tremendous defensive effort was the key for the Cabrillo Men's Basketball Team in the semifinals of the Skyline Tournament versus Las Positas. Cabrillo held Las Positas to 24 first half points, and then turned their defense up another notch in the second half resulting in a 58-41 win putting Cabrillo in the Championship game vs. the host school Skyline College tomorrow at 4:00 p.m.

Warren Jackson led the Seahawks with 15 points while his backcourt mates Allen Wilcher and AJ Wright each added 10 points of their own. The Seahawks led 36-24 at half and would extend that lead for the majority of the next stanza. The win improves Cabrillo to 7-3 on the season and is the second consecutive year they will play in the Championship Game of the Skyline Tournament.
