A quartet of Cal Baptist players have northern California roots and here are their 2013-14 contributions:
* 5-foot-10 senior Kyle (Mills High/Skyline College) Wong - 21 games, one start, 8.5 minutes a contest, 3.2 points per outing on 48%, 44% and 80% shooting respectively
* 6-foot-7 junior Eric (El Cerrito High/Merritt College) Nelson - 28 games, three starts, 10.8 minutes a contest, 2.4 points and 2.4 rebounds per outing on 56% and 57% shooting (no trey attempts), his 21 blocked shots were second on the team
* 6-foot-4 freshman Michael (El Camino High) Smith -28 games, 27 starts, 20.5 minutes a contest, 8.4 points and 3.3 rebounds per outing on 39%, 31% and 81% shooting
* 6-foot-8 senior Kevin (Roseville High/Yuba College) Crabb - 24 games, 23 starts, 22.3 minutes a contest, 7.0 points and 7.6 rebounds per outing on 52% and 77% shooting (no trey attempts), a team-leading 31 blocked shots
By the way, Coach Rick Croy and his guys finished 24-4 overall in his initial season, 18-2 in conference play.
