From Bruce Pascoe's look back at Arizona's Sunday victory over Cal State Northridge:

But looking deeper down the UA bench, there are more surprising moves so far, especially by guards Elliott Pitts and Parker Jackson-Cartwright.

Pitts played confidently as the seventh man off the bench, scoring a career-high 10 points on Sunday and making a difference on the defensive end, where UA held CSUN to 42.3 percent shooting (about 40 percent before both teams subbed heavily at the end of the game).

“Elliott is another very positive person right now in terms of how he’s playing,” Miller said. “He’s embraced his role. He plays with amazing effort. He can make shots and when he’s in, it’s like with Rondae, the ball seems to move easier. The two games we’ve played so far I thought Elliott was an ‘A’ in first game and ‘A’ in second game. I’m really pleased with him. I think his role can solidify and maybe even grow.”
