Mike Grimala reports on another UNLV intrasquad scrimmage:

"Smith at the rim

Kendall Smith continued to build on his strong preseason, turning in another good performance on Saturday. The sophomore played both guard spots, defended well and was particularly effective driving the ball off the dribble.

Smith drove through the defense all the way to the rim on a half-dozen occasions, and though he didn’t convert a ton of those chances—he finished 3-of-11 from the field for nine points—he’s already established himself as the team’s best slasher. It continues to look likely that Smith will play a big role this year."
