St. Mary's turned back New Mexico State 83-71 last night (so to speak) with some interesting personal performances.
Brad Waldow posted a 16 point/12 rebound double-double in just 20 minutes but teammate Desmond Simmons finished with three points and one board in 19 minutes. He attempted just three shots though.
For the visitors, Remi Barry returned to California and totaled 17 points and four caroms in 33 minutes. He lived at the foul line going 11-16.
