San Francisco State went into College Park on Saturday to face Maryland and the result was an 82-51 final score in favor of the Terrapins.

SF State finished the first half on a 13-4 run to cut the The Maryland Terrapins lead to 43-31. The Terrapins opened up the second half of this afternoon's exhibition game with the visiting SF State Gators on a 8-0 run as they defeated their NCAA Division II opponent 86-52 at the XFINITY Center in College Park, Maryland.
The Gators scored the first three points of the game as Bren Haley connected on an old-fashioned three-point play off a steal and assist by Andre Jones. Maryland went on a 17-4 run to take a 17-7 capped by Melo Trimble three.
A Richaud Pack jumper increased the Terrapins' lead to 36-13 with 5:28 left in the first half.
SF State did not go away as the visitors outscored their Big Ten opponent 18-7 in the final five minutes of the first half to cut the deficit to 43-31 heading into the locker room at the half.
Maryland scored the second half's first eight points as it took a 51-31 lead in the first four minutes. A Derrick Brown three stopped the Terrapin run on the Gators' next possession,
Justice Howard's three off an assist from Chiefy Ugbaja cut the Gator deficit to 55-39 with 13:14 on the clock, but that is the closest SF State would get as Maryland took the exhibition game 86-52.
Trimble was one of 'Terps in double figures with a game high 19 points.
Maryland only held a 36-30 advantage on the board with Udun Osakue leading the way for the Gators with a game high 7 rebounds (5 offensive).
Derrick Brown paced the Gators with 11 points while Andre Jones added 10 points.
Besides his 10 points in his first action in over year, Jones also had three assists, two steals and four rebounds. Osakue finished with 7 points and 7 rebounds. Senior point guard, Bren Haley, chipped in 6 points, two assists and two steals.
