"Happy Birthday to one of the greatest Vikings to ever put on the DVC uniform, the legendary Brian Goins! Brian was part of two excellent Vikings teams in 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 that finished the regular season ranked at #3 and #4 in Northern California respectively for those years. Surrounded by a wealth of talent, he helped lead his team to their first Elite Eight Appearance in 7 years during 2011. The Vikings advanced to the Sweet Sixteen the following year. The overall record for DVC during these two seasons was a remarkable 50-11. Brian transferred to Cal State San Bernardino for the 2012-2013 season, and after taking a break from school last year while playing professionally for the Bay Area Matrix of the American Basketball Association, he is finishing up his senior year of college academically at Bellevue University of Nebraska."
