Ali playing in and seeing Italy

Bowling Green it touring Italy (Rome, Florence, Como, Venice, Milan) and playing a little basketball this month which means 6-foot-1 guard Ismail Ali, out of San Leandro High and Antelope Valley College, is seeing a wonderful part of the world.

Three games in thus far:

August 10, a 96-76 win
Ali's numbers: Ali: 4 PTS (2-5 FG; 0-1 3PT), 1 REB, 6 ASTS, 1 BLK

August 12, an 80-59 win
Ali's numbers: 11 PTS (5-8 FG; 1-1 3 PT; 0-2 FT), 2 REBS, 3 ASTS, 2 STLS

August 14, an 87-86 loss: "With six seconds to play in the game, the Falcons had the ball, called a timeout and drew up a play. Antwon Lillard got the ball at the side of the key, drove to the basket and earned two free throws after driving into the lane. Lillard missed both free throws, but Ismail Ali knocked the ball off a Vicenza All-Star with 0.7 left on the clock. BGSU tried a lob, but it was defended well and the Falcons fell just short."
