EuroBasketNews: "KK MZT Skopje Aerodrom (Prva Liga) agreed terms with 25-year old American guard Xavier Thames (191-86kg-91, college: San Diego State). He played last season at Fort Wayne Mad Ants (D-League) in the U.S. In 48 games he had 8.6ppg, 2.7rpg, 3.0apg and 1.0spg.
The previous (14-15) season Thames played at Betis Energia Plus Sevilla in Liga Endesa where in 14 games he recorded 3.4ppg and 1.2rpg. He also played 13 games in Eurocup where he averaged 5.7ppg, 1.9rpg, 1.2apg and 1.0spg.
Two years ago Thames was drafted by Toronto Raptors (NBA) in second round (59th overall). He attended San Diego State until 2014 and it will be his third season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Thames played in the final of D-League in 2015. He was also voted All-MWC Player of the Year and All-MWC 1st Team in 2014 at his college time."
