Have to play a waiting game?

A birdie just told me (or maybe it was a Bear disguised with voluminous feathers) that Cal officials are sincerely interested in having Eric Musselman replace Cuonzo Martin.

This would make so much sense as Reno isn't going to hold Musselman forever and it would allow he and his family to return to the Bay Area.

He's making $400,000 now so are Cal officials ready and willing to top that figure? Hint: make use of the buyout money Martin is paying to get out of his contract.

Musselman got Nevada rocking in just two seasons albeit with lower academic standards than those in Berkeley. But there is no reason to believe he cannot replicate such.

But what happens if Nevada enjoys a long run in the Big Dance?
