The score was 37-32 at halftime but then San Diego City added 10 points to its lead over Yuba College and ultimately more in winning 85-69 on Thursday in Livermore.
For the 49ers, guard Brandon (River City High) Ruaro led with 17 points with fellow backcourter Jourdan (Central Catholic High) Johnson tallying 14.
Yuba's frontline was out-played by the taller crew from the border.
