Spinuzza to the Lone Star State

6-foot Danny Spinuzza, out of Lassen College, has signed his letter of intent to play next season at Texas A&M International University.

Out of Downers Grove, Illinois, he earned Golden Valley Conference Honorable Mention honors as a freshman and then boosted his stock to Golden Valley Conference All Conference in his second year. Spinuzza also took Most Valuable Player honors at the Mendicino College tournament this season.

He averaged 9.8 points overall in 2016-17 (11.6 in conference play), 3.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 with steals. Spinuzza shot 47% overall (51% in conference) as well as 44% from three-point range.

"Danny helped take us from a 7-20 record his freshman year to a 15-13 record and a playoff appearance his sophomore year," Lassen Coach Will Freedman said.
