Chris (Delano High/San Jose City College) Sterling was 'en fuego' with 27 points on 9-10, 5-6 and 4-4 shooting overall in Arizona Christian's 82-50 downing of UC Merced.
Freshman guard Cole (Kennedy High) Taira paced Merced with 13 points. He shot 5-8 from the floor, 3-4 from beyond the arc.
