Host Sonoma State and Cal Poly Pomona required an overtime period before a victor could emerge and that was the Seawolves 70-68 on Friday. Powered by shooting 10-14 at the foul line, Luke (Del Oro High/Santa Rosa Junior College) Cochran provided team-bests with 16 points plus eight rebounds. Sonoma earned 46 free throw attempts and made 33 versus Pomona's 9-22.
Jeremy (St. Mary's High) Dennis scored 18 points for CPP and also grabbed six rebounds.
