City College of San Francisco stands 14-1 at Christmas break and riding a seven-game winning streak with just two Rams are scoring in double figures -- Zach (Berkeley High) Copeland at a very healthy 18.5 points per game and Portland State bounceback Armani (Stuart Hall High) Collins providing 10.5 points.
However, a number of teammates are chipping in as Eddie (Archbishop Riordan) Stansberry is scoring 8.3 points, Adrian (Berkeley High/Reno International Prep) Rico 8.0, Eddy (Miramonte High) Ionescu 7.2, Michael (James Logan High) Steadman 7.1, Michael (McClymonds High) Wright 6.9 and Kendall (Freedom High) McIntosh tallying 5.9.
Copeland is the count-on guy with usually a rotating pair or a trio of other Rams enjoying good-scoring games on a given night. There's no Jalen Canty in the middle this season to force double-teams but that hasn't impaired the offensive firepower. CCSF is shooting 48.6% overall and 39.4% from long distance with 3/4 of the roster featuring newcomers or freshman. That's remarkable.
6.5 blocked shots a contest indicates the Ram bigs are an established defensive presence.
