Appeal-Democrat: "Needing a lift after a slow start in the first half, the Yuba College men's basketball team found that spark thanks to players coming off the bench who ignited a run, helping the 49ers remain perfect in Bay Valley Conference play with a 90-70 victory over Los Medanos on Thursday in Pittsburg.
Yuba coach Doug Cornelius credited the play of Brandon Ruaro and Donald Jackson, who combined for nine points, giving the team a boost off the bench with their play on defense helping to put the game out of reach.
Jourdan Johnson led the 49ers with 25 points, including five 3-pointers, Xavier Francois had a double-double off the bench with 18 points and 13 rebounds, and Jihad Woods finished with 18 points and eight rebounds..."
