Brian VanderBeek/Modesto Bee offers some details on the brawl that ended the Burbank - Morningside game.

Here's a report from someone at the game:
Well... Here it is... The players were involved in a two minute brawl. It was a jump ball in which a player from each team held on to the ball 2 seconds too long. A morningside player stepped in between the jump ball guys to dissolve any escalated tempers from flaring. At that point the burbank sacramento player attempted to grab the morningside player. The bench cleared from burbank on their side of the court. The Morningside bench cleared to protect the guys in a 5 vs. 15 fight. It then became a team brawl. It was very unfortunate for both teams because they squandered an opportunity to win a prestigious tournament. The burbank coaches were dressed in suits and I spoke with the mild mannered morningside coach after they beat the home team and he appears to be a classy standup guy. The burbank parents were involved in the altercation, however, No coaches from either team were fighting. Simply trying to calm down the situation. Both varsity teams will be suspended for the next game per CIF rules.... Hope this clears it up for you.
