SEAHAWKS HANG ON TO DEFEAT FOOTHILL 48-47...
The Cabrillo College Seahawks found a way to win tonight over the Foothill College Owls in Los Altos Hills. Cabrillo (10-3) jumped on the Owls (11-4) early in the first half 15-4 but saw that lead diminish as the half progressed.
Cabrillo lead at the half 25-18.
In the second 20 minutes, Foothill played and shot the ball much better and took the lead several times as the two teams went back and forth in what was a very physical hard fought game between two of the better teams in northern California.
Cabrillo managed to take a lead with 5:23 to play behind the stellar play of Aaron Short.
Short lead the Seahawks in scoring with 17 points. Frank Rogers and Tyler Velasquez each had 11.
Next, the Seahawks open Coast Conference South play at home vs Hartnell College Wednesday night January 4 @ 7:00 p.m.
