Missed this from the day before: New Mexico jumped out to a 46-25 half time lead over rival New Mexico State and kept the margin throughout the second half, winning 89-69.
Wendell McKines went for 25/14 but NMSU shot just 33% overall, going 1-14 on trey attempts.
Drew Gordon was also obviously inspired to the tune of 23 points and 19 rebounds as New Mexico shot 45% overall, 12-24 from long distance.
I'd say the Bay Area was repped quite well.
