Newberry is 6-foot-2, 185 and also has offers from West Virginia, LSU, Murray State and Rhode Island. Two months ago, he told Brad Winton: "Jeff Newberry (6-2/G/2014) of New Mexico JC tells me West Virginia is currently at the top of his list. Will make decision in September"
