Isaiah Taylor departed the East Bay after his sophomore year and enrolled in a high school in Houston. As a prep senior, the 6-foot-1 backcourter signed with Coach Rick Barnes and the University of Texas.
So how is he doing thus far as a freshman?
Taylor has started each of the five games for the Longhorns and is averaging just under 27 minutes each time out. He's scoring 9.4 points, passing for 3.4 assists and grabbing 3.2 rebounds per contest. His shooting is subpar thus far but it's indicative that he has already gone to the foul line 39 times in those five matchups.
Didn't know his uncle is Terrell Lowery.
