The age old question

Brandon Cole tweeted: "Why do coaches lie to recruits? Even if you get them, they find out you lied and then they're unhappy. Nobody wants unhappy players."

Yes, guys lie to girls and vice versa in I'll-deal-with-it-if-it-comes-up-but-hopefully-that-won't-happen-situations and, yes, it's quite telling and indicative. But entering what should be a mentoring relationship but constructed with an initial falsehood does not bode well.

Time to climb down off my white horse before I get bucked off.
