San Diego State went into Lawrence, Kansas on Sunday and emerged with a 61-57 victory over the Jayhawks. Xavier Thames didn't shoot particularly well but finished with 16 points and contributed to a stellar Aztec defensive effort. He was clutch near the end.
Kansas shot just 30% and was out-rebounded 51-39.
