In an upset, Cal Poly finished three points ahead of UC Irvine, 61-58, in a Big West Conference semi final matchup. Senior guard Kyle Odister again totaled nine points for the Mustangs. For the Anteaters, Will Davis just missed a double-double with 18 points plus nine boards. It was a seventh seed besting the top seed.
At 23-11, Irvine should be heading to one of the post-season tournaments.
