FCP Fall Showcase and All-Frosh/Soph Camp
Hoops Factory TV was granted unfettered access to The Full Court Press Fall Showcase and All Frosh/Soph camp in September and October of last year.
The Fall Showcase was held on a sweltering day in Bellflower, CA at St. John Bosco High School and featured of some of the best basketball talent in the state in all classes including Rex Pflueger, Sedrick Barefield, Michael Cage Jr., Kendall Small and consensus top 5 player Stanley Johnson.
The All Frosh/Soph camp was a two-day affair hosted at Cerritos College in Norwalk, CA and included a bevy of young talent including the state's top rated player in the class of 2016, Lonzo Ball. The All Frosh/Soph camp also featured the sons of two former NBA players, Julian Payton and Charles O'Bannon Jr.
Both events were attended by a slew of media including Frank Burlison, Ron Flores, Gerry Frietas, Joel Francisco and the All Frosh/Soph camp was Co-Directed by Compton Magic Founder Etop Udo-Ema.
Hoops Factory was able to procure exclusive interviews with some of the events top prospects including the overall #1 player in California, Stanley Johnson. The episode also includes interviews with two class of 2015 players, in ESPNU's top 15, Rex Pflueger and Sedrick Barefield who discuss their goals for the upcoming year and goals for the future.
At the All Frosh/Soph Camp, we caught up with Class of 2016 standout Lonzo Ball and National Champion with the 1995 UCLA Bruins, Charles O'Bannon, who discussed the state of college athletics today and his viewpoint on paying college athletes. Compton Magic's Etop Udo-Ema educated viewers on the roots of one of the top AAU programs in the nation, highlighted the truckload of talent that has come through his pipeline and was excelling at the Division 1 level.
Cal-Hi/Student Sports' Ron Flores rounds out the episode discussing everything from the current state of grassroots basketball. Event coordinator and FCP and Pangos founder Dinos Trigonis provides a truly insightful and one of a kind perspective on topics ranging from his own success to the overall state of the grassroots industry.
