Cabrillo College Men's Basketball: "The Seahawks (11-4) opened up conference play at Hartnell College (9-6). In the first half, the Seahawks took charge of the game with hot shooting from several players and were up by as much as 17 points in the middle of the first half. However ,the Hartnell Panthers made a late run before the intermission to close the gap to 11 points (39-28).
The second half was just the opposite as the Seahawks had cold shooting which allowed the Panthers to take the lead with about five minutes remaining in the game (63-62). A critical three-pointer by #11 Blake Trent put the Seahawks up for good and the they where able to hang on for a opening win in conference play by a score of 71-68. Leading the Seahawks in scoring was Breet Reed with 15 points followed by Demetrius Rose with 14. Also chipping in with 12 points apiece was KT Taylor and Blake Trent."
