Chico State versus Humboldt State on Thursday

versus

There is very good basketball played at all levels in northern California. If you can, do catch this game.

The Wildcats and the Lumberjacks tangle on Thursday way up north (and again on February 20 in Chico) in a matchup involving two of the top teams in the California College Athletic Association.

Host Humboldt State sports an 11-1 overall record, 5-1 in the CCAA. An 84-79 loss to Cal State San Marcos on December 3 is the only blemish thus far.

Chico State is 12-2 and also 5-1 with a 61-58 December 19 loss at the hands of Sonoma State.

The shooting statistics for the teams are very close although the Jacks are averaging 89 points per game versus 75 for the Cats so they obviously prefer a faster pace.
