Contra Costa College Men's Basketball: "The Comets came out on top on the road at Merritt College 72-65 in a battle of 1st and 2nd place teams in a tough battle throughout. After falling behind by 7 early, the Comets took control and held off several Merritt runs in the 2nd half. F Larry Wickett led the Comets with 20 points, 14 rebounds, and 6 assists while F Jeremiah Alston added 11 points and 5 rebounds. The Comets record now sits at 17-6, with a 6-1 record in Bay Valley Conference play... GO COMETS!!!"
