Santa Cruz Sentinel: "Brett Reed scored 20 points and the Cabrillo College men’s basketball team beat previously unbeaten San Jose City 58-55 in a matchup pitting the top two teams in the Coast Conference South division on Friday night.
Cabrillo outrebounded SJCC in the second half to help pull out the win.
Demetrius Rose and Solomon Taylor each had nine points for the Seahawks (15-4, 5-0), ranked No. 8 in the state by the California Community Colleges Men’s Basketball Coaches Association.
Shelton Black had five blocks for Cabrillo, which made 15 of 18 free throw attempts. Winners of six straight, Cabrillo will visit De Anza on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Akil Douglas had 16 points to the lead the Jaguars (11-9, 4-1)."
