Kendall Smith went for 27 points but even that outburst wasn't enough as Cal State Northridge fell to Long Beach State on Wednesday 94-79. The other Nor Cal note is that freshman Noah Blackwell started for the 49ers. He didn't shoot well but provided four rebounds plus four assists in 23 minutes.
