Manny Martin coming on

Manny Martin moved from Cañada College and a Final Four finish to LSU Shreveport this season and has racked up three Player of the Week honors thus far -- December 14, January 4 and now this week.

"Manny Martin (JR/Los Angeles, California) of LSU Shreveport (La.) notched his third RRAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week award with his play over the dates of Jan. 11-17. This is the 10th weekly award of the 2015-16 basketball season.

Martin averaged 16.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game as the Pilots posted conference victories over Wiley College (Texas) and Jarvis Christian College (Texas). In a 73-67 defeat of the Wildcats, the junior forward dropped in 19 points and hauled in six boards. The Los Angeles native totaled 14 points and five rebounds in an 81-51 rout of the Bulldogs on Saturday. For the week, Martin was 11-of-20 on field goal attempts and 9-of-12 from the free throw line. LSUS surged to 5-3 and fourth place in the conference with an overall mark of 10-7..." 

On the season, Martin is averaging 11.6 points on 48%, 46% and 71% shooting plus 4.7 rebounds, all in 20.3 minutes per game.
