Marin Independent Journal: "Ryo Tawatari and Matt Hayes scored in double figures to lead the Dominican University men’s basketball team in a losing effort, 65-48 against Hawaii Pacific late on Thursday night.
Tawatari scored a game-high 14 points for the Penguins (8-6, 4-3 PacWest) and Hayes added 12 points and a game-high eight rebounds.
Hawaii Pacific led 28-16 at the half. Dominican pulled within 48-44 on a 3-pointer by Hayes with 8 minutes, 36 seconds remaining but got no closer as the Sharks went on a 13-0 run to put the game out of reach."
