Cañada College beats SJCC and CCSF roars past Butte

In Redwood City, Cañada College handled San Jose City College 71-55.

From the Cañada game preview:
San Jose City College enters the game with an 18-7 record and the knowledge that they defeated the Colts 71-55 in December on Cañada's home floor. The score was tied 30-30 at the end of the first half before San Jose City College guards Shaheed Young and Quincy Hill took over in the second half. Young finished with a game-high 29 points while Hill added 14 points and four assists. Young and Hill both finished the regular season in the Top 10 in scoring in the Coast South Division.

"They have two explosive guards and we need to find a way to contain them," Diepenbrock said. "That's going to be the key to the game."

Stopping San Jose City College's guards will rest on Isaih Tueta, Ibrahim Ali and Cañada's own all-star, Peter Pappageorge, who scored 22 points in the first game. Pappageorge led the Coast North Division in scoring during the regular season, averaging 19.9 points per game.

Cañada enters the game having won three of its last four games and finished the regular season with a 19-5 record. San Jose City College is on a seven-game winning streak.
