SEAHAWKS CLINCH COAST CONFERENCE SOUTH TITLE OUTRIGHT WITH 90-65 WIN

The Cabrillo College Seahawks won the Coast Conference South Championship tonight with a 90-65 win over West Valley College in Saratoga. Cabrillo (20-7, 11-1) jumped on the Vikings early and went up 15-3. West Valley made their own run and cut into the lead as the Seahawks lead at the half 35-31.

The second half was all Seahawks as they again jumped all over WVC behind the perimeter shooting of Markus Duran. Duran hit 10 three-point shots on the night -- five in each half. Cabrillo quickly extended their lead to 20+ and cruised the rest of the way for the win.

Markus Duran scored 34 points. Bert Hall scored 19 points and Tyler Velasquez had 17.

The Conference title is the third in the past five years for the Seahawks.
