Early commits

Don't know why preps 'commit' two or three years prior to when it can be made official but here's another one, albeit in southern California, with the usual outcome:

Mater Dei junior Katin Reinhardt has withdrawn his commitment to USC, his father Ernie confirmed tonight.

Reinhardt, a 6-5 guard who has strong offensive skills now and looks like the type of player who will improve a great deal more, made the decision a couple of weeks ago and told USC coach Kevin O'Neill of his decision today...

Reinhardt is not a Kevin O'Neill-type player -- not a lot of guys are. It's interesting that O'Neill has crossed Reinhardt off his list as a number of coaches decide to stay in the running regardless but the gut says Reinhardt was never going to re-affirm his Trojan commitment period.
