The Oakland Kings nab another championship

Kings win Nor Cal Tournament – Qualify for AAU National Tournament in Orlando, Florida
The Oakland Kings won the 16U Division 1 of Pacific AAU National Qualifier May 15, 2011 in Folsom, CA. The Kings went undefeated (4-0) over two days of play facing AAU travel teams from Northern California. The Kings defeated the Bay Area Bulls in the final game to take the championship.

The Kings will travel to Orlando, Florida to compete for the National AAU Championship July 24-30, 2011.

The Oakland Kings are one of the best AAU basketball teams in Northern California. The Kings roster is made up of mostly underclassmen from some of the finest high school basketball teams in the bay area. They are coached by former Fresno State standout and professional basketball player Darnell McCulloch.

  1. In the Championship game of the AAU qualifier, Jos'af Zamora ran off the first 14 points for the Kings and ended up with 24pts. Dejon Burdeax also showed great poise at point guard with 18pts,6reb,5 steals, 3 assist and only 1 T.O . Wyvone Birden was big presence down low in the post and pitched in with 15pts and 7reb!
