Jason Silsdorf moves on

Talked with Chabot Coach Denny Aye today and got word about Jason Silsdorf's signing and also then noticed the following update at the Chabot College men's basketball site:
Jason Silsdorf signs scholarship to Sonoma State!
5/19/11

Chabot sophomore 6'11" power forward Jason Silsdorf has officially signed to Sonoma State. Jason had a solid career at Chabot, and was a redshirt sophomore. Jason played 2008-09, then sat out to get stronger in 2009-10, and finished his Chabot career this past 2010-11 season. His freshman season Jason shot 65% from the field, and 75% from the free throw line while averaging 2 points, and 1.5 rebounds. Though his stats aren't impressive, Jason was behind 3 D-1 caliber post players. Jason came off the bench to help on defense with his shot blocking, high energy and leadership. The Gladiators are proud of Jason for his work in the classroom and on the court. Jason is the second Gladiator to sign a scholarship this season. Four more Gladiators are expected to sign scholarships in the coming weeks!
Pat Fuscaldo heads the Sonoma State program. The Seawolves went 11-15 overall, 9-13 in conference last season and are losing 6-foot-7 James French. 6-foot-8 Cody Brice redshirted last season for SSU so he and Silsdorf will man the middle in 2011-12.
