FCC blasts Reedley

Madec gets 200th win with Rams as Fresno City rolls to hoops victory

Fresno City College made coach Ed Madec's milestone victory an emphatic one as well.

The Rams' suffocating defense held Reedley to 13 first-half points and their offense delivered six consecutive 3-pointers in the early going in a 98-59 victory that was Madec's 200th win at the school.

Erwin Thomas Hammock had his 21 points coming by way of seven 3-pointers and Fresno City easily overcame the loss of injured leading rebounder Junior Morgan (ankle).

Madec is 200-36 at Fresno City after going 83-38 at College of the Siskiyous in Weed.

"Very proud," Madec said. "Means a lot to me. I've had special kids that bought into our program and culture and it has been pretty magical."

The state No. 12 Rams improved to 16-6 overall and 4-0 in the Central Valley Conference. The Tigers fell to 7-10 and 1-3.
