The Fresno City College men's basketball team set the stage for a first-place showdown against College of the Sequoias by getting 21 points from Alex Perez in a 103-82 Central Valley Conference win over Columbia on Wednesday.
The state No. 12-ranked Rams (18-6, 6-0), who have won six straight heading into Saturday's 5 p.m. game against the No. 18 Giants in Visalia, jumped out to a 49-31 halftime lead and never looked back.
Fresno City's Olajuwon Garner scored 17 points against the Claim Jumpers (8-12, 3-3).
