A Mike Rice defender

Hey, there's someone who defends the actions of former Rutgers Coach Mike Rice, claiming he benefited from being abused. I wonder what might happen if his boss at work took to throwing things at him when mistakes are made, all to make him a better employee? Or if his history teacher fired books at his head upon receiving an incorrect answer?
