Gruber heading south

Cabrillo College leading scorer Colin Gruber has signed to play at UC Riverside of the Big West Conference. The 6-foot-5 guard was named the Most Valuable Player of the Coast Conference South and honored as a First Team All State selection after averaging 17.9 points and 6.9 rebounds per game this past season. In 28 games, he also passed out 72 assists and pilfered 47 steals.
