Justin McBride, a sophomore at Lassen College, has committed to a scholarship at Grace University to play basketball and major in Business with a Marketing emphasis.
The 6-foot-0 McBride was a starter and averaged 5.2 points a game while shooting 41% from beyond the three-point line. He passed for 59 assists in 2012-13 for a 23-9 squad that made it to the third round of the state playoffs.
Grace University, a private school in Omaha, Nebraska, competes in the National Christian College Athletic Association and finished the this year with a 17-17 overall record.
From Coach Devin Aye: "Justin is the first of an expected four Cougars to accept a scholarship in the coming weeks from the 2013 Golden Valley Conference champion Lassen College team. Congrats to Justin on a great accomplishment and the opportunity to have his degree paid for while playing basketball at the university level!"
