Welle honored as Santa Cruz County POY

The timing seems odd but the Santa Cruz Sentinel just named Aptos High's Cole Welle as its All-County Boys Basketball Player of the Year. At 6-foot-6, he'll be a senior in 2013-14.

Also, keep track of Santa Cruz High backcourter Kiree Hutchings, a 5-foot-10 point entering his sophomore season come September.
