It's an epidemic, no, maybe a pandemic, no it's worse...

Rustin Dodd looks at the so-called transfer epidemic.

Two missing points:

Why do the transfers bear the brunt of this issue when it's coaches coming a-calling? Poaching requires a poacher.

A snippet: "...Schools are recruiting kids right off of campus,” K-State coach Bruce Weber says...."

Call it semantics but nope, it's not schools but fellow brethren reaching out.

If "graduate transfers' are hired guns and “It’s totally unfair to programs where they’ve worked with kids for four years,” Weber says, then what are coaches who leave a year after recruiting a kid due to a 'better' offer?

Players are on one year contracts so yes, every year is free agency for them. Pony up and guarantee a four or five year scholarship offer and then complain if a student-athlete departs early for greener pastures.
