* Fresno City College was 14 better than Santa Rosa JC 70-56

* San Joaquin Delta College proved to be four points better than Cabrillo College 69-65

The Cabrillo College Seahawks fell just short this afternoon as the Mustangs of San Joaquin Delta College (Stockton, CA) pulled out a close game with a 69-65 win in the Championship game of the John Wallace Memorial Tournament hosted by Ohlone College (Fremont, CA). The loss drops Cabrillo to 2-1 on the year.

The Seahawks had controllled the first behind the scoring of Warren Jackson. Cabrillo lead at the half 35-29 as Jackson scored 19 first half points.

The Seahawks jumped out to several comfortable leads but could never put SJDC away. Delta took the lead for the first time in the game with 2:10 to go. Cabrillo had a couple chances to tie the game and take the lead but could not convert.

Warren Jackson lead the Seahawks in scoring with 23 points. David Abittan chipped in with 10 points. Jake Harrell and Allen Wilcher each had 8 points.

* In overtime, College of the Siskiyous topped Butte College 76-73

* In a low-scoring pairing, College of Marin's 51 points exceeded Napa Valley College's 38

* Solano College took a five-point victory over Sacramento City College 87-82

* Mendocino College fell 64-46 to College of the Sequoias
