Brandon Heath's story is both feel good and a prime example that there isn't any test that measures heart and determination.

Family economic situations obviously differ but check out the funding, public and private, that supports say Richmond High versus that of any high school in the Sunnyvale or Cupertino area school districts. Separate but certainly not equal. Yet all the students must meet the same state academic requirements.
