Sophomore McGlaston working to be Utah State leader

McGlaston a leader now

JoJo McGlaston didn’t play much last year as a freshman, but that’s about to change.

The 6-foot-3 guard from Dublin, California averaged 2.3 points in only eight minutes a game as a freshman. But McGlaston scored six points and handed out two assists in the Blue-White game.

"We have a lot of work to do," he said afterward. "But at least we know we can get better."

One of only four returning players from last year, McGlaston’s biggest goal doesn’t involve scoring or piling up assists.

"I have to come out and lead by example," he said. "That’s up to me and the other veterans."

Morrill walked past just as McGlaston was talking to reporters about providing leadership.

"You have no choice," the Aggie coach told him.
