The 2014-15 Contra Costa College Comets

Contra Costa College Coach Miguel Johnson has released his 2014-15 roster at the CCCAA site and this much is sure: three guards -- Dawson Johnson, Tajai Johnson and Larry Wickett will be forces on the court this season for the Comets. Plus, Brown is Johnson's favorite color and calling out the name Johnson during practice is going to lead to confusion. We still haven't fully identified some of the players while the northern California talents are highlighted:

* Lowell Hall sophomore forward

* Dawson Johnson 5-foot-9 sophomore guard Castro Valley High/DeAnza College

* Justin Johnson 6-foot-3 sophomore forward Diablo Valley College/El Cerrito High

* Tajai Johnson 6-foot-1 sophomore guard Vallejo High (didn't play much as a frosh at UC Riverside)

* Pekelo McKenzie 5-foot-8 freshman guard El Cerrito High

* Jabraile Newkirk 6-foot-1 freshman guard North Carolina

* DeAndre Russell freshman forward

* Phillip Secrease 6-foot-3 sophomore forward Pinole Valley High
